To recover everything from your device to iTunes you're going to want to use the Auto Transfer feature in iExplorer. To get started, first open iExplorer on your Mac or PC. Then, go ahead and connect your device with its USB cable to your computer. Once the device is connected, iTunes may prompt you to sync your device - click 'No' or 'Cancel.' Until all of your music have been transferred back to into iTunes we recommend that you avoid syncing the device to iTunes as, in some cases, doing this may result in the permanent loss of data from your device.

iExplorer should now bring up the Device Overview screen. Here you're going to click on Auto Transfer. This will open your device's Media Library which contains your music and other media on your device.

Once your Media Library is finished loading iExplorer will display the Auto Transfer dialog box. You'll see the the total tracks on your device, how many of those are already in iTunes and how many are going to be transferred. You'll also see your playlists. By default, all of your playlists will be checked indicating that they will be rebuilt in iTunes. Go ahead and make your playlist selections then click Start Auto Transfer to begin. Everything will transfer and integrate seamlessly into iTunes. Just sit back and watch your iTunes Library be restored!
